The EU Gain Project (Green Aquaculture Intensification in Europe) of has produced a further two videos in the “Voices from the Sea” series. The first video presented follows up on an earlier published Blue Fashion video (see also previous blog post).
In this video Daniel Hatton (founder and CEO at Commonwealth Fashion Council (CFC)) and Neishaa Gharat (founder and designer at House of Gharats) talk about circular economy, blue fashion and designs using fish leather, seaweeds and much more. The video includes an amazing showcase of fashion products and materials from James Ambani, CEO at Victorian-foods, Sheena Frida C and Barbara della Rovere.
The second video features Mapco, a company in Peterhead that processes fish filleting by-product to produce “Stockfish” a dried product that has a good market in Africa. Dan Talyor and FearGod Anyalebechi from Mapco explains the process and how it is used in African cuisine.
