Professor Dave Little & Will Leschen working together with Drs Sonia Planellas and Simon Mackenzie from the Inst's Fish Health and Biotechnology groups in Egypt for fish health related workshops & setting up real-time PCR field diagnosis under a 2 year British Council Newton funded Institutional Links project with Kafr El Sheik University, the World Fish Center and the Egyptian Union of Fishermen and Fish Farmers.

John Bostock & Will Leschen from the Sustainable Aquaculture Group Institute of Aquaculture on 16th November 2016 attended the Inception meeting in London of a new Global Innovation Fund NESTA project which is setting up a new innovative investment "prize" delivery model for developing aquaculture for lower income individuals in Bangladesh and India.

Egyptian project partner welcomed to the Institute
Dr Mahmoud El Tholth of Kafr El Sheik University last week visited the Sustainable Aquaculture Group at the Institute as part of the DFID Newton funded BOLTI project which is looking at Behavioural Prophylaxis as a potentialfish health management strategy for the Egyptian commercial tilapia farming sector.
